I know as a long-term drinker of ale, lager, wine and spirits that I have to slow down and be more selective in what, where and when I drink and it is fortunate there there has been a resurgence in recent years in real-ale popularity and small breweries across the Country happy to fulfill the demand.
Wetherspoons has been a great boost to the local brewing industry and now there is a pick up in the smaller, cosier retreat of living room-type establishments, which have limited seating, but great ambience and more importantly, a great range of local ales and interesting guest beers from India and America.
This website will set out its stall in the coming months by recognising the Good Beer Guide's recommendations in every town, one by one, ale by ale, pint by pint. I hope you will pop back from time to time to see how we are developing Events in Towns for communities around the Uk, not just for the beer, but for the towns and cities and the revitalisation of our communities everywhere.
I may not be able to drink as often or as prolifically as I used to, but, when it comes to going out to events and socialising, now is the time to get back to energising and lifting the spirits by enjoying all there is to do in our towns and villages across the land.
