About Shropshire
Shropshire, famous for its part in the Industrial Revolution of the 18th and 19th Centuries, is a County of high places and deep ravines, beautiful rivers and forests and lush grasslands. Steeped in history, visitors can go to the famous Iron Bridge gorge or visit the Olde Worlde town of Blist Hill, to see how life used to be. There are plenty of things to do in Shropshire including the many legacy sites and museums of the Telford era. Ludlow Castle, Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Much Wenlock are all worth a visit.
