About Buxton
Buxton, in the High Peak District of Derbyshire, is a spa town, famous from Roman times for its natural source of spring water.
A place for relaxation, walking trails and a large number of events throughout the year.
High points include Grin Low and Buxton Country Park, Pavilion Gardens and the Opera House, along with a good number of excellent places to eat, a local brewery, Wetherspoons, The Railway and Lubens.
Look out for the Spring Spectacular, Pavilion Gardens, Buxton food and Drink Festival and a host of other events in this lovely town. Not to mention the golf course on the town's outskirts.
